"Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind, and spirit." -B.K.S. Iyengar
Hi there, I’m Deanna! I believe that true healing happens through experience, not just words. If you’ve ever felt stuck in traditional talk therapy or struggled to find deeper emotional healing due to trauma or stress, you’re not alone. Healing isn’t just about understanding our thoughts—it’s about integrating our experiences, emotions, and physical sensations. I’ve discovered that firsthand throughout my own wellness journey. That’s why I take an experiential, holistic, and person-centered approach, helping you connect with yourself in a way that feels authentic, natural, and meaningful.

My Approach
Everyone’s healing journey is different, so I strive to tailor therapy to your unique needs, integrating evidence-supported approaches like Art Therapy, Somatic (body-focused) work, DBT, CBT, Person-Centered, and Relational therapies, all from a trauma-informed perspective. I also invite therapeutic lifestyle changes, recognizing that daily habits play a vital role in emotional well-being. My goal is to help you build a deeper connection between your mind, body, and heart in a safe and nonjudgmental space.
The truth is that emotional healing is difficult without a regulated nervous system. If you’ve been experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, difficulty regulating emotions, low energy, sleep issues, or unexplained health issues, your nervous system may be out of balance. This can make it feel like no matter what you try, healing is just out of reach. That’s why I focus on providing tools to help you regulate, reconnect, and rebuild resilience in a way that makes sense for you. Through the combination of verbal processing with experiential methods, we will work together to create an intentional therapeutic experience that fosters deep self-awareness and wisdom.
Working with our body is key to creating real, lasting calm. Developing awareness of the mental patterns and emotional responses that contribute to nervous system dysregulation is an essential step in the process. From there, incorporating physical techniques can help to signal safety, regulate stress, and restore balance.
Some of the techniques that may be integrated into sessions include:
Art Making
Meditation
Body Scanning
Stretching
Movement
Breathwork
Somatic Self-Tapping
Vagus Nerve Stimulation
Self-Soothing Techniques
Grounding Exercises
Give yourself credit for already taking steps toward growth and know that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. If you’re ready to explore a new way of healing that works with your whole self, let’s connect!
